A letter from our Principal about the lates Corona restrictions at our school.

Maastricht, 15 January 2021

Subject: adjusted schedule due to new rules lockdown as of Monday, January 18, 2021

Dear parent(s), guardians,

Unfortunately, the government has had to decide that the schools that were allowed to remain open, such as Novo College, should start teaching with 1.50 metres distance between each pupil and teacher. This will last at least until February 9, 2021, but perhaps even longer.

Novo College will therefore start introducing these new rules at the school on Monday 18 January 2021. We are going to do this by creating smaller groups that come to school for lessons. At other times, your son/daughter will have to work at home on lesson packages/homework.

Your son/daughter has already received the overview of when he/she can come to school from us. You can ask your son/daughter about this.

If your son/daughter is not at school on the agreed days and teaching hours, this will be recorded as truancy, and passed on to the compulsory education officer of the municipality in which you live. If your son/daughter is ill, or has any complaints that are appropriate to Covid-19, we urge you not to send your son/daughter to school but to have your GGD tested. If we notice your son/daughter has any complaints at school, we will send your son/daughter home and call you to ask for a test.

In this way, we hope, together with you, to ensure that the infections are stopped, after which we can welcome the pupils back to school together after 9 February 2021.

Stay healthy!!

Regards
