RE: closure of education on Wednesday 16 December 2020

Dear parent(s), guardians,

Unfortunately, the government has had to decide that the schools should close temporarily. This will take place on Wednesday 16 December 2020, and will last until 17 January 2021.

Novo College therefore closes its doors for classroom education on Wednesday 16 December 2020. Of course, Novo College will provide lessons for the students. We will do this by creating lesson packages that students can pick up, through conversations with teachers over the phone, Whatsapp or lessons on the computer and through Teams. All this starts on Monday 4 January 2021. What the student will be offered has to do with how well the student can already read, write, listen and speak Dutch. For one it will be a package from a book, for the other lessons via the computer.

The student can show you what her assignments are.

The teachers will contact the students several times a week to hear how they are doing, and if there are any questions about the work that will be made at home. Sometimes the student will be allowed to come to school to give the homework and come and pick up new work. Where this is difficult, the teacher will ensure that the work is delivered at home.

In this way, we hope, together with you, to ensure that the infections are stopped, after which we can welcome the pupils back to school after 18 January 2021.

Stay healthy!!

Regards
